About you

Are you curious, ambitious and looking to join a company that puts its people first and makes a real difference to society?

We’re looking for fantastic people to join our trainee programme and be part of our award-winning team.

The role will begin in September 2024.

We welcome diverse, talented and analytical individuals who enjoy finding patterns, identifying key points from an array of information and delving into detail. You’ll be able to think critically, brainstorming theories with others and you’ll have excellent listening and observational skills.

You’ll find creative ways to present your findings and write in a way that makes reading a pleasure, bringing information to life. You’ll have excellent communication skills, find joy in problem-solving, and be open-minded and inquisitive when it comes to new ideas.

Our Culture

Our people are encouraged to truly be themselves, with opportunities to learn and grow at your own pace.

We understand the importance of downtime and that building relationships with colleagues doesn’t always come from meetings and working on projects, we have regular social lunches and team days out of the office, sporting events, trips to the theatre and an array of clubs to bring people together if you’re keen to take part.

We have a number of committees, including a wellbeing group who oversee business standards for wellbeing and organise events that offer support to the team for their mental and physical wellbeing. We also have an equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) committee who ensure EDI is at the forefront of planning and decisions.

We’re a friendly team and we’re proud to have built a collaborative and compassionate workplace based on our core values:

  • Being human first
  • Impartiality and independence
  • Making a difference

As one of our Rules of the Game says: be who you are, wear what you want, but be brilliant.

About the role

The programme is designed to get you up and running as a researcher as soon as possible. You’ll join IFF as a Trainee and during your first year will develop knowledge through training, practice and practical application of your skills.

Your first 3 weeks is spent working as a group on our training project, experiencing the full research cycle to introduce you to agency research. You’ll then work on active projects alongside our experienced team, while also undergoing training sessions on specific research skills. These include, designing fieldwork, organising and analysing data and writing impactful research reports. You’ll also rotate through our teams, moving every 4 months to ensure you have an overview of the work we do.

Our impressive training programme is accredited by the Market Research Society and is delivered by our internal team, which ensures you have access to the knowledge, support and expertise you’ll need to become a confident researcher.

Our application process starts with a short online form, you’ll be directed to two application questions and asked to complete a written response and a video response. Your answers will be reviewed and successful candidates will be asked to complete a skills assessment online. Based on outcomes we’ll invite people to our in-person assessment sessions in our London office, which will take place on the 16th and 17th January 2024

Please apply via the link if you’re interested in joining us. If you have any accessibility requirements or we can make the process more comfortable for you, please do let us know.
