I’m Joe Hudson

Enjoying the simple pleasures of family life – spending time with my two young children, walking the dog, frequent runs, and the odd nap on the sofa.

A little bit of what I do

I joined IFF in 2024 after spending 12 years at an environmental consultancy specialising in policy evaluation. Over the years I have worked across a wide range of environmental topics, with a particular interest in low carbon energy and energy efficiency. I particularly enjoy working closely with clients to understand their needs, seeing our research findings come together in the reporting stage, and supporting others in developing their own skills.

What I’ve achieved

I feel lucky to have found a career that’s both enjoyable and meaningful – one that allows me to explore topics I care about while contributing to work that (hopefully) makes a useful difference to society.
