A little bit of what I do
I’m excited to have returned to IFF after four years at the Department for Transport, where I led bus policy monitoring and evaluation and worked across inclusive transport and Local Authority Major Schemes evaluation. I now lead IFF’s transport sector, designing and overseeing research in complex policy contexts across all modes. I specialise in evaluation and enjoy devising frameworks, assessing the strengths of different data sources and creating Theories of Change (with a passion for fitting lots of tiny boxes into a single power point slide). I especially enjoy working with Local Authorities to strengthen performance measurement and build research capacity. My previous experience includes research across housing, work and welfare and I’m particularly proud of completing my Masters dissertation on the use of temporary accommodation by London Boroughs.
What I’ve achieved
My career highlights include publishing the government’s Inclusive Transport Strategy Evaluation and shaping its monitoring and evaluation of the Bus Services Act 2025. At IFF, I led a large-scale and fast paced qualitative study for ONS during the pandemic on non-compliance with COVID guidelines, which informed government policy and communications.
